- LinkTap ValveLinker is a battery-powered smart sprinkler controller for in-ground irrigation valves—built for sites without AC power and for installation in valve boxes. Choose a 1-zone, 2-zone, or 4-zone model to match your system. ValveLinker operates all mainstream 3–24V DC latching solenoid valves (1/2", 3/4", 1", 1.5", 2", etc.) and can easily replace traditional battery controllers that use DC latching solenoids—while adding modern smart automation and remote control. ValveLinker delivers “smart water timer” intelligence to professional irrigation valves. With the LinkTap Gateway and app/web portal, you can start/stop watering remotely, create powerful multi-cycle programs by date/time/duration, and enable weather-aware automation (rain skip and temperature-adaptive watering) to reduce waste with less babysitting. Smart Anti-Freeze Protection is also included: you can configure the temperature threshold, interval, and flushing duration, and the system can automatically increase protection as temperatures drop—ideal for cold snaps, vacant homes, and remote properties. For monitoring and protection, ValveLinker supports two levels: 1) Without a flow meter: you still get low-battery alerts and low-temperature alerts. 2) With an optional LinkTap 1" or 2" Flow Meter (sold separately): you unlock real-time flow rate/usage tracking plus Advanced Flow Monitoring—including flow-based fault alerts (e.g., water cut-off, leaks, clogs, valve failures) and optional automatic shut-off to prevent damage and runaway water waste. Built for harsh outdoor conditions, ValveLinker is IP66 weatherproof and backed by a 2-year warranty. It uses a Zigbee-based wireless link designed for reliability in difficult sites, and supports LinkTap Extenders to build a true mesh network—multiple extenders per Gateway are supported and can be daisy-chained (multi-hop) to reach further across large properties. Power it using one or two 9-volt batteries (not included), or add the optional ValveLinker DC Converter for flexible 5–12V DC power input. Important compatibility note: ValveLinker works with 3–24V DC latching solenoids only. It does not drive AC solenoids and does not control semi-direct lift solenoid valves.
