- Mucinex Instasoothe Sugar Free Cough Drops contain Dextromethorphan HBr which provides up to 4 hours of cough relief. These mixed berry flavor cough suppressant lozenges provide cough relief that lasts. Our Mucinex cough drops are sugar free and do not contain aspartame. These cough drops for adults & kids 6+ are a perfect on-the-go cough suppressant. Each sugar free cough drop is individually wrapped & sealed, making them easy to toss in your bag or pocket. Adults and children 12 years of age and over: take 2 lozenges (one immediately after the other) and allow each lozenge to dissolve slowly in the mouth; may be repeated every 4 hours as needed, not to exceed 12 lozenges in any 24-hour period. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: take 1 lozenge and allow product to dissolve slowly in the mouth; may be repeated every 2 hours as needed, not to exceed 6 lozenges in any 24-hour period.
