- The Schrödinger equation is almost correct. The observables it predicts are almost correct, as revealed by experiment. The probabilistic interpretation ascribed is not correct. Quantum theorists, when they find something new they cannot explain say, “Well, that is another feature that separates classical Newtonian theory from Quantum theory.” But the equation that replaces the Schrödinger equation repudiates all the “quirkiness” and “difference”. It is a classical Newtonian model of the “insides” of electrons (and other fermions), which current theory says have no “insides”. They say electrons are fundamental, intrinsic. The “insides” actually consist of a structure that vibrates and rotates; that vibration plus linear motion has been misinterpreted as “wave-like”. Dirac had this correct in his theory of zitterbewegung. The bonus of this new theory is that all the “quirkiness” ascribed to quantum theory, and postulated to be true but intrinsic, is explained with simple lower division physics concepts from classical mechanics and electrodynamics.
