- Basecamp Epoxy Paint is a faux stone textured paint designed specifically for home and commercial climbing walls. This two-part epoxy paint offers substantial performance benefits over standard acrylic wall paint. Our Epoxy Paint can be further enhanced with Summit Topcoat, a two-part waterborne urethane that gives your climbing walls an aesthetically pleasing, natural, low-luster appearance that prevents rubber sole scuffs from permanently marring the surface. Additionally, you can choose regular or fine-grade aggregate to add to the paint. This Epoxy Paint features a low VOC formula that has no flammable solvents and very low odor, making it ideal for indoor applications. Featuring 6 vibrant color options, Rainier Blue, Adams Gray, Bachelor Green, Baker Green, Hood Gray and Shasta Brown, and a pot life of 2 hours, it's easy to apply and cures in 3 days. For mixing, stir/shake the Basecamp Epoxy Paint Base (Part B) thoroughly to remix any settled material, then mix 3 parts Base (Part B) with 1 part Resin (Part A) by volume and stir thoroughly. Best mixing is achieved with an electric drill and a Jiffy Mixer attachment. Mix only enough material which can be used well within 2 hours @ 70°F. Add the aggregate slowly while mixing. Mix for 1 minute or until uniformly dispersed. Higher temperatures will reduce pot life, while cooler temperatures will increase pot life. Clean brushes and rollers promptly after the application with warm, soapy water. Rollers and brushes may be further cleaned with denatured alcohol.
