- The objective of this text is to introduce the reader to some digital signal processing (DSP) concepts using the Python language. We start by looking at what DSP is, followed by looking at the definition of a digital sinusoidal signal. We then study some simple processes such as combining and multiplying signals. Spectral analysis in conjunction with windowing is then examined. We then look at difference equations and the implementation of these. We follow this with FIR and IIR filter design and then a study of audio systems. We then look at bandpass filters and oscillators. We conclude with the Bilinear Transform technique and multi-rate systems.
