- The sE Electronics V BEAT is a high-performance dynamic drum microphone designed for today’s demanding live sound and recording environments. Purpose-built for snare and tom drums, it delivers the same high-grade sonic performance found in our acclaimed V series microphones, but reimagined in a compact, low-profile, drum-friendly design. Its custom supercardioid capsule with an aluminum voice coil provides clear, balanced sound with natural detail and control. Optimized for close drum miking, the V BEAT drum mic captures snares and toms of any size with precision while offering excellent off-axis rejection to help minimize bleed from nearby drums and stage sources. The result is a focused, articulate drum sound that performs reliably in both live and studio environments. A unique, patented integrated capsule suspension isolates the capsule from mechanical vibration, eliminating the need for an external shock mount and keeping handling noise to a minimum. An internal windscreen reduces unwanted popping and wind noise, with both red and black options included for your preferred look. The ultra-compact mechanical design features a parallel XLR connector and stand mount to keep cables out of the way, while the rock-solid swivel mount allows precise positioning across the drum head. For even greater flexibility and an even smaller footprint, the V BEAT dynamic drum mic is fully compatible with our optional V CLAMP drum mounting system (sold separately). Built for the road, the V BEAT supercardioid drum microphone features an all-metal housing, a dent-proof spring steel grille, and a gold-plated XLR connector for reliable, long-term performance.
