The Estate Swing E-SC 1600 Single Opener is a low-voltage system, eliminating the need to run 110V AC power to your gate. This automatic swing gate opener operates by simply running low-voltage wire to a household outlet within 144' of the operator. The E-SC 1600, along with the E-S 1600, is one of the only constant-duty DIY gate openers on the market. Unlike other DIY openers that rely on a battery that is trickle-charged after each cycle, the E-SC 1600 draws its power directly from the 24V AC transformer plugged into a standard outlet. The backup battery is used only for power outages, adding an extra level of reliability and peace of mind. The Estate Swing E-SC 1600 Single Opener features a design perfect for gates mounted on larger columns. It is compatible with columns ranging from 12" x 12" up to 24" x 24". The articulating arm connected to the gear/motor assembly makes this opener ideal for larger columns. Additional Specifications: Power: Low Voltage Transformer (included) and Optional Backup Batteries (not included) Power Wire Specification: 14 or 12 gauge wire (purchased separately). Length depends on the distance between the transformer power supply and the control box.
