- Bill Medley is best known as half of the Righteous Brothers, whose raw emotional rhythm and blues sound essentially created the genre 'blue-eyed soul.' in the mid-1960s, the Righteous Brothers became a fixture on Top Forty radio with hits like 'You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin,' 'Just Once in My Life,' 'Unchained Melody,' and '(You're My) Soul and Inspiration.' Originally recorded in 2007 and issued in limited release after the untimely passing of Bobby Hatfield (Medley's partner in the Righteous Brothers), DAMN NEAR RIGHTEOUS is now available with an additional unreleased bonus track 'Blue Denim Blues.' the album was produced by three-time Grammy nominee Steve Dorff and co-produced by Shayne Fair. DAMN NEAR RIGHTEOUS features a mixture of new and old songs, with cover versions of Ray Charles' 'Lonely Avenue' and Brian Wilson's 'In My Room.'
