- Memphis 59 began recording Ragged But Right in the summer of 2009, with the assistance of a trio of Grammy winners lined up to produce, engineer, and play on the record. Scheduled for a December 2009 release, the album stays true to the band's straight-ahead, guitar-driven roots rock sound. Featuring 12 original tracks, Ragged But Right was recorded at the award-winning Bias Studios in Springfield, Virginia. Producer John Jennings was named 2008 Producer of the Year by the Washington Area Music Association, and has also worked with Grammy-winning artists Mary Chapin Carpenter, George Jones, Lyle Lovett, and Indigo Girls.
