- Chris Woods made his first records in the early 50s but his most prolific period was around the time of this session. He had recorded three European albums as leader, and as sideman with Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry and others. But a new American album had to be done. Recorded in 1978, Modus Operandi is a great example of the versatility of multi-intsrumentalist Chris Woods. Chris plays alto and baritone saxes and flute and is accompanied by Greg Bobolinski, trumpet, flugelhorn; Jim McNeely, piano; Roland Wilson, bass; Curtis Boyd, drums.
