A book whose focus goes beyond the calculator as a numerical computing tool in circuit problems. An effective use of the calculator requires problem solving strategies, correct interpretation of results, convenient management of variables, and programming when appropriate. To this end, the book covers not only the use of the calculator, but also emphasizes the theoretical background needed to provide a strong basis for this use. As a result, an efficient tool is provided for fast and effective problem solving. Although the text is oriented to resistive circuits, almost all of the methods presented here are applicable to ac circuits, in the phasor domain, when complex impedances and admittances are used. Good reference for electrical and computer engineering students, as well as practitioners who need to solve for circuits.
