- Rory was happy living in the jungle with her parents. Her family taught her all about who and what she was: a jaguar shifter. They lived long, slow days in the wilderness and had no concerns with the outside world. In the jungle, they were safe. Until they weren’t. One day, hunters came and left Rory alone in this world. She spends years running from the hunters who killed her parents, staying in her cat form to survive the harsh conditions of the jungle. But one can only run for so long, and one fateful day, she is captured and transported across an ocean. Escaping their clutches, she finds she is in America. Once again, she is on the run but now it is in a foreign land full of strangers, but this time she won't be alone for long. She finds a group of people who change her perspective on humanity, the world around her, and herself. Will Rory stop running and fight? Will she pick up the shattered pieces of herself and allow them to make her whole again? Or will she remain splintered?
