This book is intended for anyone preparing for the CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe) exam organised by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). It includes 4 full practice exams (360 questions in total), based on the current Body of Knowledge for the CIPP/E exam. The form and range of questions are intended to reflect the nature of the real-world CIPP/E test. For this reason, some of the questions in my book are based on typical knowledge (simple fact recall), but most of them are not (questions requiring judgement, more or less complex case facts and case scenarios). When using the book, you should first take one of the tests to assess your knowledge, and then complete the other tests as part of the learning process. In the book, each test is presented separately (without indicating the correct answer), and then the same test is presented again with the correct answer and an explanation. For each question, you will find the explanation for the correct answer (e.g. the relevant article or recital of the GDPR, excerpts from the EPDB guidelines, or another legal and factual analysis). I wanted you to know the correct answer, but above all, I wanted you to learn why it should be chosen or what analysis process is behind it, which is an essential part of the preparation process. In the book, you will also find information that I think you should know before taking the real exam. The section titles below will give you an idea of what I have included in the guide: about the CIPP/E Exam, test day, exam strategy, the interface of the examination software, sources, and study materials. Finally - the book is the result of many months of my work, during which I tried to create quality tests, based on my years of professional experience and education. I also used all my know-how about the exam itself and strategies for passing it. I hope that for many this publication will become a practical tool in the CIPP/E certification process.
