- The RE320 Variable-D Dynamic Vocal and Instrument Microphone Bundle from Electro-Voice features a neodymium element, sensitivity, and frequency response well suited to handle the gamut of recording applications. Electro-Voice's Variable-D tonal response aides in combating the proximity effect as well as create an even tonal response at 180 of the capsule making it suitable for capturing a wide variety of vocal and instrument sources. Its neodymium capsule handles high SPL levels making it great at capturing transient signals from amplifier cabinets, percussion instruments, horns, loud vocals, and more. In addition, the microphone features a kick drum curve switch, which automatically adjusts for the frequency response of kick drums. The RE320 ships with a hard case. This microphone is part of the B&H Virtual Mic Locker, an online tool to help our valued customers determine the sonic differences between popular microphones for podcasting and voice over work. Each microphone was recorded using a Grace Design M103 preamp into a Presonus Quantum 2626 interface.It comes with 309A from Electro-Voice is a professional-quality suspension shock mount. The mount is constructed from metal and has a swiveling basket for precise mic positioning. The mount is designed to support the RE20, RE27N/D and RE320 microphones. Because these mics have internal shock mounts as well, the 309A provides an additional level of protection against unwanted vibrations.
