- The Horizontal Slider Window is a horizontally mounted with two panes of glass that slide. Both window panes are based with double strength glass and are then marine glazed in a aluminum frame. This gives you the option of opening either end or lifting both sashes out giving you access to the entire opening. Available in clear or gray glass in sizes of 16" x 11.5", 24 x 11.5", 36" x 11.5 or 48" x 11.5. Windows are sold in single units (1 window each). What to cut my rough opening? We recommend cutting the window opening ¼” larger on the height and ¼” larger on the width for each desired window size. I.E. For the 24″ x 11 ½” Horizontal Slider Window, we recommend rough opening of 24 ¼” x 11 ¾”.
