This kit consists of three Micro Effects Lights, Blacklight with 405nm light output in a narrow beam pattern, a 3-way Pigtail Connector Splitter, and a 12-volt battery holder. This unit is a blacklight source in the UVA ultraviolet region at 405nm for building props, scenery and costumes. The LED blacklights can operate from a 12 volts DC or 9 volt DC power supply. Power at 12V DC is 84ma nominal current, 1.0 watts. The kit can also operates from 8 AA batteries, and runs for more than 18 hours (24 hours typical) on new alkaline batteries (not included). The kit may also be operated from 9V by unsnapping the 9V battery clip from the top of the 8 AA battery holder. When operated from a new 9V alkaline battery, the operating time can be expected to be about 3 hours typical. The effective range of illumination of fluorescent materials in dark settings is typically 6 inches to 6 feet. Best range is achieved when operating from 12 volts DC. Uses include building of props and scenery where a small black light source is needed. The Micro Effects Light heads are 1.42 inch nominal in length and 0.48 inch nominal in diameter. Batteries are not included, power supply not included.
