- Blessing's Lory Nectar 'Gourmet Blend' This nectar blend is formulated with human-grade ingredients to provide balanced nutrition for lories and other nectar-feeding birds. It is designed with reduced iron levels and includes turmeric to support joint health in older birds. The recipe avoids spirulina and pea protein isolate due to their high iron content. Feeding Directions: Serve in a clean bowl alongside fresh water. Mix 1 part nectar powder with 4 parts water (e.g., 1 cup / 240 ml powder with 4 cups / 960 ml water). Stir by hand or blend until smooth. Replace the prepared nectar after several hours. Storage Instructions: Prepared fresh with a one-year shelf life (refer to date of manufacture). Keep in a cool, dry location free from insects. Freezing extends freshness up to two years.
