Aloha Spirit is a project over four years in the making. It contains several styles of music, including reggae, rock,a little jazz and even a bit of hip hop. Most songs are lyric-based with flute melodies throughout. This time around we're going for a positive message with nothing but love. Inspired by our home in Maui, Hawaii. I hope you enjoy the result of alot of hard work and love. My name is Luke D and this is our second album. This is my first album from my home recording studio. I have recorded, engineered, written, mixed, played and produced the whole thing. Aloha Spirit has a very professional quality sound. I've worked countless hours perfecting the tracks to get them where they are now and I am very proud of the result. David Bond is still on guitars and brings alot of life experience to the songs. Franklin Russell adds some jazzy licks as he plays keyboards on two songs; 'Wild and Wicked' and 'Coffee with Gaby'. I'm playing bass,keys,flute, ukulele and vocals. Hambone Jones on Drums has the rock and roll attitude and is solid as a rock. Dave and I wrote the first 5 songs together. The next 4 are by me and 'Waiting in Vain' by Bob Marley of course. 'Waiting in Vain' actually was just a test recording but it sounded so great I had to put it on the album. It's a beautiful way to round out the music.
