- The Mouse Family sets off for a fun-filled day at the apple orchard. Papa and Momma load all the little mice—Jamie, Lucy, Peter, the twins Joey and Benji, Baby Mouse, and Granny Sue—into their old truck to enjoy a family adventure among the apple trees. At the orchard, the mice enjoy a bumpy hayride before spreading out to gather apples. Granny Sue watches from a bench while the little ones scurry around excitedly. Joey and Benji climb a tree with Papa’s help, but Benji’s desire to find the biggest apple leads him to ignore Papa’s instructions. When Joey slips and nearly falls, Benji saves him just in time—learning the importance of staying together and listening. The twins then work as a team to pick apples, discovering that cooperation makes the adventure safer and more fun. When the apples fall dangerously close to Momma, she gathers the family to use a picnic blanket as a safety net—just like “fire-mice.” Soon, everyone joins in to roll apples to the wagon, gather smaller apples for Granny Sue, and load the cart. Jamie’s friend William helps by driving the tractor as the mice carefully stack their harvest. Back home, the mice turn their apples into delicious treats. Jamie bakes apple pies with help from the others—peeling, mixing, rolling dough, and filling tiny mouse-sized pies. By evening, the Mouse Family enjoys a feast made from the day’s hard work. In the end, the adventure teaches lessons about obedience, teamwork, helping others, and enjoying special moments together as a family.
