- “How Not To Be A Babbling Hypocrite” is my humble attempt at understanding one of the most often prayed, and possibly misunderstood, prayers in all Christendom, The “Lord’s Prayer.” The “Lord’s Prayer” is presented in Matthew 6:5-15. In this study I set out that the “Lord’s Prayer” is not intended as a prayer to be said but is a template for prayer giving to us by Jesus. The study discusses what prayer is, and is not, and sets out seven distinct sections in the prayer template and makes suggestions on how to better understand them and, in so understanding them, pray them. The study has several questions for consideration and discussion in each section and is set-up to be used either by an individual or in a small group setting.
