Airflow on Dyson vacuums does not only get clogged by a full dirt cup or filter – the tubing and anywhere air flows through can get clogged and, to protect the vacuum motor, the vacuum won’t turn on until airflow is restored. Make sure to check every main component of your vacuum before purchasing this part. In most cases, it’s an easy fix and you avoid buying an expensive replacement part that also won’t work on an airflow-restricted vacuum!
