William Byron put on a dominant performance on the Circuit of the Americas road course to become the first NASCAR Cup Series driver with multiple wins during the 2024 season. The Hendrick Motorsports driver earned the pole in qualifying and led 42 of the race’s 68 laps with his No. 24 RAPTOR Chevrolet Camaro. Byron’s second career road course win was the 12th overall NASCAR Cup Series victory of his career. Adding to the milestones from the Texas road course, Byron’s win also gave Hendrick Motorsports, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary season, its NASCAR record 28th all-time road course victory.
