NITECORE today unveiled the latest addition in ultra lightweight outdoor headlamps: the upgraded UT27, equipped with dual primary lights and dual color temperatures for outstanding lighting performance and enhanced visibility. It surpasses its previous generation with better luminous efficiency and broader illumination, featuring a warm light and a versatile white light, each capable of operating independently to ensure expansive and consistent visibility.
The lens of the UT27 has double the reflective surface of the previous one and achieves over 94% light transmission. This significantly cuts light loss and boosts reflectivity, increasing both the reach and brightness of the headlamp. With TrueVision+ technology, it offers smooth lighting transitions and soft, clear illumination that remains comfortable for extended use, avoiding eye strain and glare.
The headlamp includes a multi-faceted optical lens system and a 44mm (1.73") light-emitting surface—almost 2.3 times wider than before. Both the warm and white lights merge flood and spot beams to cover over 100 degrees and illuminate objects up to 130 meters away.
A double-click on either button activates the TURBO level. Both the warm and white lights turn on simultaneously, delivering a maximum output of 800 lumens and a range of 168 meters, perfect for brief explorations in the dark or quickly spotting distant road signs and conditions. The enhanced heat dissipation at the TURBO level also ensures stable and lasting brightness for up to 2.5 hours.
Despite enhancements in luminous efficiency, beam distance, and runtime, the UT27 maintains a lightweight body at just 74g (2.61 oz) (bracket, headband, and battery included), making it comfortable to wear for extended periods. It boasts a triple light source design with white light (color temperature: 6,500K), warm light (color temperature: 3,000K), and an auxiliary red light to accommodate various lighting needs.
The UT27 includes a NITECORE HLB1500 (1,500mAh) Li-ion battery pack, offering 20% more capacity than its previous generation and up to 14.5 hours of battery life. It is also compatible with three AAA batteries for easy swapping and continuous use. The headlamp features a glow-in-the-dark battery compartment for easy identification and replacement in dark conditions. The battery compartment opens a full 180 degrees for hassle-free access, and the adjustable headlamp bracket tilts up to 90 degrees, ensuring comprehensive nighttime illumination.
Available in two colors, the UT27 comes with a new generation of high-elasticity, skin-friendly headband that fits securely and comfortably. The body, made of durable PC material, withstands impacts and low temperatures and is IP66 rated for dust and water resistance, plus it offers 1-meter drop protection. It also includes a splash-resistant diffusing stuff sack, allowing users to turn the headlamp into a camp lantern or ambient light source.
