Conoce más detalles

When you are welding there are three kinds of wave energies that you must protect against, UltraViolet, InfraRed and the Visible. UV and IR are invisible and very harmful to the eye, the visible is very bright and if it catches you it can be painful! A standard dark welding filter cuts back on this bright light, they also block the dangerous invisible energies that can harm you. One problem is that although the welding lens blocks the harmful energies, it still lets through a lot of the colors that are in the middle, specifically the yellow and near orange flare of the Arc or flame while you are welding. This can interfere with your view of the work. We have developed a drop in filter lens that you can use with your standard welding lens. It is a polycarbonate material that effectively blocks the yellow, yellow/orange line of the visible spectrum (589-600nm) this is why it allows you to see more clearly. The arc is greatly diminished and any yellow/orange flare is eliminated. We call this the Super Blue lens and it is to be used ONLY in addition to your standard Welding Shade. The filter lens will add about 1/2 of a shade so just use your normal lens for the work. DO NOT USE IT AS A STAND ALONE LENS !!! PERMENANT EYE DAMAGE CAN AND MOST LIKELY WILL OCCUR IF USED ALONE !!! Simply drop in the lens behind your standard shade and cover lens. Protect it from spatter as it is polycarbonate and will pit if spatter hits it. With proper care the lens should give you years of trouble free service. To clean, rinse with water before drying off with a clean, soft cloth or new paper towel. The lens will scratch if mixed in a tool kit without being covered.
