The original Flying Scotsman was built in 1923 for the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER). In 1934, the locomotive reached 100 miles per hour and set a world record. The Bigjigs Flying Scotsman is licensed from the National Railway Museum, UK. Magnetic couplings ensure compatibility with other engines and carriages in the Bigjigs Rail range. Bigjigs products conform to ASTM and CPSIA safety standards. Made from high quality, responsibly sourced materials and suitable for 3+ years. Measures 7.5 in length.
