Bracket openings are sized for kiln-dried dimensional lumber: one 4x6 beam and four 4x4 support legs (actual sizes 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" and 3-1/2" x 3-1/2"). If lumber is tight, planing may be required for proper fit.
