Dishwasher Safe & Sanitary As with all Epicurean Cutting Surfaces, Handy Boards are NSF (National Sanitary Foundation) Certified, as the nonporous surface is easy to clean and will not harbor bacteria. Unlike traditional wood and bamboo cutting boards, Epicurean cutting surfaces are dishwasher safe . Light & Easy to Store These cutting boards are lightweight , easy to handle, and designed to withstand everyday use and abuse. They are only 3/16-inch thick, and can easily be stashed away or hung by the utility hook. Heat Resistant Epicurean Kitchen Boards are heat resistant up to 350-degrees , so you can use the surface as a trivet without leaving a blemish. (Not microwave safe. Not for use as cookware.) Made in the USA and Eco Friendly Epicurean cutting surfaces are exclusively manufactured in the United States of America . The Kitchen Cutting Boards are made of Richlite, a wood composite material comprised of a mixed source of wood fibers. The same durable laminate material is used in skateboard parks, which is where Epicurean has its roots. The Natural, Slate and RC100 materials are all certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. Caring for Your Epicurean Cutting Surface Your Epicurean Cutting Board is a wood product. To prevent warping, avoid prolonged exposure to wet conditions, and store it upright until dry. Though it is stain-resistant, some foods may leave color over time. To remove stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive household cleaner.
