Taiwanese Bee Shrimp require stable and specific water conditions. They thrive in slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH range of 6.2 to 7.5. The water temperature should be maintained between 68°F and 78°F (20°C to 25°C). They are sensitive to changes in water parameters, so regular monitoring is essential.
A well-planted aquarium with a good filter is ideal. Taiwanese Bee Shrimp appreciate a tank with plenty of hiding spots and surfaces like driftwood and rocks, which help them feel secure and provide surfaces for biofilm growth, which they graze on.
Taiwanese Bee Shrimp are primarily algae grazers, but they also need additional foods to thrive. High-quality shrimp pellets, algae wafers, and blanched vegetables like zucchini or spinach can supplement their diet. It's important to provide a varied diet to ensure they get all necessary nutrients.
