The specially designed nap also releases the compound uniformly on the wall. LEVEL5 compound roller covers are very durable. If cleaned thoroughly after each use, they can be used many times before replacement. LEVEL5 4-inch compound roller covers are designed specifically for use with LEVEL5 compound roller frames with heavy duty 1/4-inch diameter shafts (#4-003). This width is ideal for rolling bedding compound on flat wall seams prior to taping. PRO TIP: Before using your new drywall compound roller for the first time, “prime” the roller cover by wrapping painter’s tape around its entire surface and then peeling it off. This will remove any loose fibers or bits of roller nap that may not have been securely attached during manufacturing. ABOUT LEVEL5 COMPOUND ROLLERS LEVEL5 Compound Rollers available in 4” (#4-005), 9” (#4-905) and 12” (#4-906) lengths for applying compound to flat surfaces. A specialized 2” inside corner roller (#4-006) is also available. Replacement roller covers for all variants are available in singles and three packs.
