Originally developed as the perfect wood burning surface, Basswood Rounds are chosen for their clearer appearance, free from most naturally occurring characteristics commonly found in our Rustic Basswood Rounds. Each round is unique in size and personality for creating one-of-a-kind crafts, art, custom signs, home decor projects, hobbies, and more. Refer to the photos in this listing to see the variety of natural characteristics these cleaner pieces still offer. So versatile, they can be painted, decoupaged, stamped, engraved, and carved. No chemicals are used in manufacturing our rounds, making them an excellent choice as plate chargers and serving platters for DIY events like picnics, parties, and weddings. Proudly Made in America at Walnut Hollow in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, each piece is kiln-dried and sanded smooth. It's then inspected to ensure the natural bark edge has been well-maintained before careful shrink-wrapping. The minimum diameter of each piece is 12" to 14"; thickness is 5/8". If the piece you receive isn't shrink-wrapped with a Walnut Hollow label, it is counterfeit and should be returned to Amazon.
