Conoce más detalles

The ULTRAVIOLET Stereo Equaliser (UV EQ) brings the renowned minimum phase-shift Violet stereo EQ section from Fusion into a 500-series format. It features two fully parametric SSL mid-band EQs with precision 'Focus' mode, providing exceptional flexibility and tonal control in 500 Series EQs. UV EQ is the ideal companion for the SSL G-COMP Stereo Bus Compressor module, delivering advanced SSL processing through 500 Series modules. Beyond Fusion's Violet EQ, UV EQ enhances its capabilities by adding two dedicated mid-bands with precision Focus mode. These classic SSL parametric mid-bands are equipped for traditional SSL processing techniques and extend beyond them, offering surgical precision for creative 'notch' style filtering and resonant effects. Focus mode lets users ‘hone in’ on specific problems or frequencies they wish to accentuate or attenuate. Activating the ‘Focus’ switch automatically narrows the selected Q setting further and expands the gain range beyond the standard +/-9 dB to an impressive +/-18 dB. In a truly flexible SSL workflow manner, it transforms this sweet-sounding, musical SSL EQ into a more surgical tool. The high-pass filter (HPF) on UV EQ helps remove rumble and tighten low frequencies, providing significant flexibility for processing the low end. When combined with the LF shelving band, it offers unique ways to sculpt signals, and yes, UV EQ can achieve the desirable boost and cut effect. The dedicated Trim control ensures that signals hit converters with ample headroom or deliver just the right amount of signal when clipping is intended.
