Sobre este producto
  • Zebra Babaulti Shrimp are named for their remarkably beautiful black striping. Some specimens have bright yellow or orange eyes! They look especially stunning against aquarium wood and dark tank gravel.
  • Since this shrimp is a Caridina species, it will not interbreed with Neocaridina shrimp. They do best in remineralized reverse osmosis water (RO water). An aquarium pump is a must for ALL dwarf shrimp!
  • Dwarf shrimp are very small and are not ideal for aquariums with medium to large-sized fish. Please research dwarf shrimp before purchasing to ensure compatibility with your tank's habitat.
  • Similar to Neocaridina shrimp, these will readily breed in most customer tanks! Their diet can be supplemented with various brands of shrimp or fish food and bites, flakes and wafers, etc.
  • All Aquatic Arts brand plants and animals come with a 100% live arrival guarantee, plus free email support!

Conoce más detalles

Zebra Babaulti Shrimp (Caridina cf. babaulti "Zebra") are very rare in the United States and one of the most beautiful dwarf shrimp types available. This variety of the Babaulti superspecies is quickly gaining popularity due to its beautiful striping, which makes it stand out magnificently against sandy substrate and just about any fish tank backgrounds. They are especially well-suited for a compact or miniature aquarium. Some specimens even have bright yellow eyes. We are very pleased to offer top-quality tank-bred specimens! Zebra Babaulti Shrimp will breed in a house aquarium! Their fry are smaller and grow more slowly than many other shrimp species, so this species requires a mature, dedicated dwarf shrimp aquarium for successful rearing. There seems to be a growing consensus that these shrimp will breed in either softer or harder water, as long as extreme conditions and abrupt changes are avoided. Since this shrimp is a Caridina species, it will not interbreed with the many Neocaridina species that we offer. Unlike Caridina species, which require soft water, this shrimp will thrive in water parameters similar to Neocaridina shrimp. All dwarf shrimp thrive best in planted tanks with live aquatic plants (such as moneywort, banana plant, etc.) because plants provide cover. They are compatible with all other shrimp, such as Neon Yellow Shrimp and Green Jade Shrimp, as well as with most small, peaceful fish. They can also be kept with most aquatic snails, like Spike Snails, Japanese Trapdoor Snails, and Malaysian Trumpet Snails.
