- The rare Green Babaulti Shrimp is a beautiful, bright green color. They look especially great against dark substrate or aquatic plants. Dwarf shrimp help to keep tanks clear.
- Since this shrimp is a Caridina species, it will not interbreed with Neocaridina shrimp. They do best in remineralized reverse osmosis water (RO water). An aquarium pump is a must for ALL dwarf shrimp!
- Dwarf shrimp are very small and are not safe in aquariums with medium to large-sized fish. Please research dwarf shrimp before purchasing to ensure compatibility with your tank's inhabitants.
- Both male and female shrimp included, so this makes a great starter kit for a breeding colony! Their diet can be supplemented with various brands of shrimp or fish food, wafers, etc.
- All Aquatic Arts brand plants and animals come with a 100% live arrival guarantee, plus free email support!

Green Babaulti Shrimp (Caridina cf. babaulti) are very rare in the United States and one of the most beautiful dwarf shrimp types available. Their stunning green coloration makes them stand out magnificently against any aquarium backdrop or tank substrate, and makes them perfect candidates for modern aquarium decor. Until recently, these shrimp have been very difficult to find, and we are thrilled to be one of the few North American retailers able to offer them! Most available specimens are wild-caught and inconsistent in coloration, most likely due to misidentification and a lack of scientific research of this relatively new species. We proudly offer tank-raised specimens, virtually all of which are bright green! Green Babaulti Shrimp will breed in a house aquarium! Their fry are smaller and grow more slowly than many other shrimp species, so this species requires a mature, dedicated dwarf shrimp aquarium for successful rearing. There seems to be a growing consensus that these shrimp will breed in either harder water or softer water, as long as extreme conditions are avoided. All dwarf shrimp prefer to live in tanks with fish tank plants (such as hornwort, baby tears plant, etc.) or decorations that provide cover. These are compatible with other shrimp (such as Cardinal Shrimp, Ghost Shrimp, etc.), most snails, and small, nonaggressive fish (such as Rasboras, Molly fish, Platy fish, etc).
