- Specifications Based on the succession of the current RPi Zero series, the RPi Zero 2 W is built around a System-in-Package(SiP) designed for the RPi, which integrates the BCM2710A1 chip used by the R Pi 3 and 512MB of RAM. The RPi Zero 2 W (Wireless) offer 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.2, along with support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and modular compliance certification. The board incorporates a quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 CPU, clocked at 1GHz. At its heart is a RPi RP3A0 system-in-package (SiP), integrating a Broadcom BCM2710A1 die with 512MB of LPDDR2 SDRAM. The upgraded processor provides RPi Zero 2 W with 40% more single-threaded performance, and five times more multi-threaded performance, than the original single-core RPi Zero. This is Pi Zero 2 W with Pre-Soldered Color-Coded Header. At the heart of RPi Zero 2 W is RP3A0, a custom-built system-in-package designed by RPi in the UK. With a quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1GHz and 512MB of SDRAM, Zero 2 is up to five times as fast as the predecessor RPi Zero. As for heat dissipation concern, Zero 2 W uses thick internal copper layers to conduct heat away from the processor, sustaining higher performance without higher temperature.
