- The brass switch holder will be great for the replacement. They are a dark brass/copper finish and look very good. They should be used with round cable for the best result. There is a set screw in the neck to screw into the round cable and keep tension off of the wire connection screws. It's simple to use these. Slip the upper collar onto the wire and then strip off enough wire to connect to the screw posts. The screws are combination standard flat head and Phillips head. Any screwdriver will do. Once you snap the top and bottom halves together, with some force, the pendant is ready to wire into a power source. This are TOP NOTCH light sockets. ~ Superior construction. SOLID metal components makes for a sturdy feeling socket with some serious weight behind it. This is just what you want for that perfect retro look. ~ Nice knurling in both the upper and lower rings...again super nice construction. ~ Excellent consistency in the finish.
