The Intel RAID Controller SRCSAS144E supports both serial-attached SCSI (SAS) and serial ATA (SATA) disk drives. Supporting dual architectures allows solutions to be customized for performance, reliability, system expansion flexibility and hard drive The RAID Controller SRCSAS144E provides flexibility and helps lower total cost of ownership with a standardized server and storage infrastructure. It is designed with four internal SAS ports and four external SAS ports; and the controller utilizes a a x4 or wider PCI Express* server board slot.
