R-12 is an exceptional choice for capturing any audio source just like it sounds to the ear with extraordinary sonic accuracy. R-12 uses the same ribbon element found in the company’s legendary R-121 microphone, eliminating any potential for headroom-related distortion. R-12’s onboard active electronic circuitry significantly increases output level for quieter sound sources, enabling the microphone to deliver its full sonic potential. R-12’s switchable High Pass filter reduces low end proximity buildup for capturing louder vocal performances and close-miking of instruments and loudspeaker cabinets. R-12’s internally shock-mounted ribbon transducer helps to protect the ribbon element while also reducing handling noise. R-12’s built-in triple-layer wind screen, effectively shields the microphone’s ribbon against plosives, air blasts and other wind-related noise. R-12 comes with a mic mount and hard-shell carrying case.
