The API Freshwater Master Test Kit provides 800 tests to accurately monitor 5 key water parameters - pH, high range pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. It includes testing solutions, color-coded test tubes, and a computer calibrated color card to compare results. By testing water weekly and when fish problems appear, you can quickly detect and remedy invisible water quality issues like accumulation of fish waste and uneaten food which can be fatal to fish. To complement testing, the API Quick Start Bacteria supplement allows instant addition of fish to new tanks without worrying about new tank syndrome. Its patented nitrifying bacteria rapidly consumes ammonia and nitrite, preventing buildup of compounds harmful to fish. Use when starting a new aquarium, adding new fish, or changing water and filter media. Together these two products form an ideal bundle for both establishing new freshwater aquariums and maintaining water quality in existing setups, allowing aquarists to successfully keep tropical community fish, goldfish, cichlids and more.
