Improved Special Edition: We heard your call! Now with optimized size and improved handling and base design. Handmade cooking pot with a beautifully darkened, matte exterior over warm Cappadocian fire undertones. Etched by hand with decorative knot patterns around its center, crown and lid. Wide handles on both the pot and lid, very easy to hold. Circular grooves engraved on the bottom to help heat distribution and improve grip. Purely earth and fire: Most earthenware pots available online are partially made with molds, often easily discernible by their flat and uniform lids. Even if the piece is unglazed, oils used for mold separation still affect texture and feel. Each and every one of our products is made entirely by hand without any additives for truly natural results. First bisque fired in a traditional kiln, later followed by open firing with local hardwoods under high winds. With our two step process we create pieces with a variety of color gradients, patterns and textures. The second step of open firing hardens the pot further and produces a uniform, resilient surface. Unlike most unglazed clay products, no seasoning is required for use. Each piece is one of a kind, aesthetic variations are to be expected. Each piece is made with primitive methods from scratch, and will not be as uniform as molded or turned pieces. You will surely bring a new flair to your favorite dishes with this simply natural pot! Made from heat and fire resistant Cappadocian clay. Dishwasher safe, but please take care to not use cleaning agents as they might be absorbed into the porous clay structure. Lid Included.
