The pulse oximeter is a portable, convenient, non-invasive device, used to monitor arterial hemoglobin oxygen saturation (SpO₂) and pulse rate. We recommend using the index finger, middle finger, or ring finger as suitable positions for the monitor. It is intended for monitoring heart rate and oxygen saturation during exercise. It is not intended for medical diagnosis, treatment, or continuous monitoring. The pulse oximeter is NOT designed for a newborn or infant. For adults and children, a finger thickness between 8 - 25.4mm is recommended.
