The Orbit Hose Faucet Yard Watering Kit is the simplest way we know to create an automatic hose watering system for your yard when an underground system is not feasible. No digging is required to install this watering system that can control up to four watering areas. This kit includes a manifold that converts your single hose faucet into four outlets, two independent valves that are controlled by a timer, and a timer that can program up to four valves (additional valves sold separately.) Simply install it on any standard outdoor hose faucet and set it to water at your convenience. Program it to water during ideal times to minimize evaporation and save yourself time and money while making your yard lush and green. With its large display, oversized dial, and simple controls, programming is fast and easy. The dial has 6 settings: set clock, set day, start time, run time, how often, off, and auto to run watering program. Each program has space for three different start times (A,B, and C) which allows you to create cycle and soak windows that encourage water infiltration into the soil. The timer will automatically “stack” the runtimes so that only one valve is running at any given time. The manual run feature allows you to run one zone, select zones, or all zones for a specified length of time, which is very convenient for zone testing or supplemental watering. It has a rain delay feature at the timer which allows you to skip watering zones for a configurable time when Mother Nature is taking care of the watering. There is no need for tools. Simply plug in the valve, no wiring is required. Each swivel attachment is designed for hand-tightening. The timer's battery case opens with ease, plus, the timer retains the program while changing the batteries.
