RapidTac II Application Fluid is formulated for specialty films and cold weather applications. It makes vinyl installations faster and easier, aids in application without bubbles, and allows for re-positioning of graphics. This advanced formula was developed to meet the demands of modern sign and graphics professionals who now work with a wider variety of vinyl films and adhesives than ever before. Back in the day, choosing a vinyl film was simple, with basically two types available: cast and calendered. Nowadays, things are a little different. With an increased number of vinyl and adhesive combinations on the market, RapidTac II was created to ensure compatibility across a broader spectrum of materials. It is designed to work with economy calendered, intermediate calendered, high performance calendered, metallic, reflective, polyester, mylar, and other specialty films. RapidTac II promotes bonding faster than the original Rapid Tac application fluid, making it ideal for cold weather and glass applications where time and temperature can affect adhesion. While it provides faster results, it is not intended to replace the Original Rapid Tac. In warmer conditions, RapidTac II may bond too quickly with premium cast films, and the original formula is recommended for those situations. The fluid breaks the surface tension of the adhesive on the film, allowing it to flow and bond to the substrate more effectively than a dry application. This helps prevent bubbles and creases, delivering a smooth, professional result on wraps, decals, stickers, and graphics applied to glass and other surfaces. Instructions for use are simple and effective. First, clean the surface thoroughly using Rapid Tac and a kitchen paper towel. Do not use other cleaners or solvents, as they may leave residues. Rapid Tac ensures a contaminant-free surface without residue. Next, spray the surface again with RapidTac II, peel the backing off the decal, and place it on the wet surface. Position the decal as desired. Use a squeegee with firm pressure to remove excess fluid, working from the center out toward the edges in all directions. After waiting 2 to 3 minutes, saturate the paper cover tape (if present) with Rapid Tac, then remove the tape. Wipe the surface with a kitchen paper towel to finish. Its ability to allow for repositioning and fast, clean installation makes it a must-have tool in any installer’s kit.
