FREE RADICAL PROTECTION - N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is a stable form of the non-essential amino acid cysteine. One of it's main goals is the scavenge for free radicals.
GLUTATHIONE: The "Mother of ALL Antioxidants". NAC 600 mg supplies L-cysteine, which then acts as an antioxidant itself as well as a precursor to glutathione. Glutathione is the most important and most abundant antioxidant inside of cells. The primary antioxidant mechanism involves donating an electron from the sulfhydryl (-SH) group of the cysteine molecule.
