VALUE: Use the metal care kit to clean 4 metals at home with a two-step system: yellow cloth infused with a non-toxic cleaning oil for cleaning and polish. The gray cloth included is untreated and will be used to remove any oil left in the piece that was cleaned, and add finish shine. The size of the cloths is 11 x 14 inches each, which gives enough room for proper handling of any item.
STAINLESS STEEL: Cleans, and shines watches and stainless steel kitchen appliances and gadgets. The ingredients in the yellow cloth remove fingerprints, grease, and dirt from the refrigerator, range, grill, dishwasher, microwave, sink, and kitchen gadgets made of stainless steel. NOTE: To clean an appliance with sticky grease, start by using a damp sponge with soap to loosen and remove the grime. Wipe it dry with a cloth, then use the Mayflower yellow cloth to tackle any remaining stains or dirt. Repeat the process if necessary. Finish by polishing the surface with the gray cloth to add a final shine, especially on stainless steel.
COPPER AND BRASS: Bring back the shine to cookware, antiques, coins, doorknobs, levers, musical instruments, medals, and collectibles. Please be aware that a plated piece can be cleaned and shined with the metal care cloth. However, if the plating has worn out, the original tone can only be restored with a new plating. Antiques: it has taken a long time for an antique piece to change from the original tone of the metal. Removing the patina that covers the piece requires several cleanings. Focusing on one area at a time is a good practice.
