HD CD1 is a high-quality CD player in the same compact form as the HD AMP1 amplifier, for which it is the perfect match. Marantz HDAM SA2 amplifier modules, a centralized CD mechanism designed for ultra-accurate disc-reading that can play MP3, WMA and AAC files alongside standard CDs, and the high-resolution digital-to-analog converter effectively produce lifelike dynamics and timbre, wider frequency response and sheer musicality. The player also features a dedicated headphone section with its own volume control and a HDAM-SA2 amplifier, complete with adjustable gain setting to drive even high-end audiophile headphones. The included remote controls all the functions of player, and can also drive the matching HD-AMP1, for simple system integration and convenience. The HD CD1 sports a MusicLink design, with a solid aluminum front panel, double-layer chassis for vibration isolation and retro-style side panels.
