Solid on one end with a hollow tube on the other, they conveniently fit over standard pencils. Best used with eraser-less pencils (a free one is included).
Chewing can be a very effective way to help calm, self-regulate, and focus, so these chewy pencil topper tubes are a perfect pairing for homework, note-taking, and more.
PLEASE NOTE: this product comes in three different toughness levels. This blue one is "Xtra Xtra Tough" for those who like to chew on very firm items for lots of feedback to the jaw. Does chewing on pen caps and pencil erasers sound familiar? Made in the USA, ARK's Krypto-Bite Chewable Pencil Toppers are a safe solution for kids or adults who need to chew. Chewing can be a very effective way to help calm, self-regulate, and focus, so these chewy tools are a perfect pairing for homework, note-taking, and more. As an added bonus, they also add extra weight to the pencil for increased hand awareness. They're modeled after the same prism-shape as ARK's Krypto-Bite necklace, but with a hollow tube on one end to conveniently fit over standard #2 pencils. This blue topper is firm but still chewable, recommended for those who like to chew on very firm items. Softer versions are available separately (search for "krypto-bite" above). Designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA by ARK Therapeutic. Medical grade, FDA compliant, NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex. Color hues may vary slightly. Best practice is to use with eraser-less pencils. Sold here in a set of three toppers, with one free eraser-less pencil included :). Highly recommended for individuals who have autism or sensory needs. Caution: This product is not a toy. Recommended for ages 6-7 and up (which is also the age that children typically start using standard pencils). Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Some individuals (particularly those with heavy oral needs and aggressive biting/chewing) may be able to damage the tools - how long they last depends on the sensory needs of the individual as well as other variables (stress/anxiety levels in their life, etc). Please supervise at all times and replace if necessary when the item shows signs of wear and tear. For the toughest chew tool that lasts the longest for avid chewers, search for ARK’s Y-Chew XXT.
