Plastic model to assemble. Made in Italy guarantee quality and precision. Colour assembly instructions (English language not guaranteed). Paint and liquid glue for plastic model making not included. For references on suggested colours please check the profile pictures or visit Italeri website. Mounted model length 11.5 cm. Contains new decals for 5 versions (3 Italian 2 German). Aeronautica Militare licensed product. Starting from the great success of the C.R. 32 "Arrow", which proved reliability and operational efficiency during the Spanish Civil War, Fiat developed the new C.R. 42 "Hawk". The new single-seater biplane fighter had like its predecessor the fixed trolley and the open cab but was equipped with some innovations such as the structure entirely in aluminium and steel covered in metal and canvas. Its air-cooled radial engine Fiat A.74 allowed the Fiat C.R. 42 to reach 400 km/h. It was equipped with an extraordinary maneuverability, much appreciated by pilots, but suffered from the limitations of the "biplane" configuration that affected its operational performance in comparison with the most modern and powerful monoplane fighters. A version dedicated to the Night Hunt was created with extended drains to reduce visibility to the enemy during the night. For collectors over 14 years of age
